Joan lives in the Smoky Mountains Of NC In the small town of Andrews. She and her husband have been married for 41 years, have 2 beautiful daughters, Becky and Tammy, and 2 wonderful son in laws. They also have 2 Grandaughters and 2 Grandsons. JOAN'S TESTIMONY: I Thank God for saving my soul at a young age, and for giving me the gift of singing. It's something I can do for Him and share with other people. I have been singing for many years, and God has richly blessed me by allowing me to see many souls saved and healed. It is my prayer that everyone will receive a blessing from the songs that God has given me to sing. I came from a musical family... we all sing... and most of them played a instrument, although not me. I have always been a vocalist, and worked only on that! I was raised in a village in Belmont N.C, called The Eagle Mill Village. We were poor but I did not know it. When I look back I can say that was the good old days where children gave respect and love to parents... and to others. Parents loved their children. There was a respect deeply rooted in the "family values" in those days. My father sang tenor with a Gospel quartet for a few years after he got saved, and then he died at a young age of 55. My brother, Ray, never married. He helped Mama raise me, he played the piano and guitar... and he and I and my sister sang in Church. When I got older, I got married and moved to the Mountains 41 years ago, and have been singing solo ever since , God has sent me to many places and I've seen many souls saved and healed. I've been blessed to open up for some major groups like The Happy Goodmans, The Blackwood Brothers Quartet,The Stamps Quartet, and many more.
